Stag - Greeting Card

It's always nice to receive a sweet note, and it's even better if it comes in an adorable handmade greeting card from Quebec. This black and white charcoal stag card is simple and can be used for many occasions.

As I create each of my charcoal animals, I bring out its personality by drawing on what it symbolically represents. You will feel a different presence with each one.

Meet my deer with the sparkling eyes.

By inviting this deer into your home, you are inviting his sensitivity and confidence
It is an honor to have collaborated with Maxime Légaré Vézina for this work.

The work becomes an addition of Maxime's photographic talent, his artistic eye and his patience to wait, rain or shine, behind his camera.

+ each of my pencil strokes to interpret the beauty of his image.
Maxime explains the story behind this image:

Anticosti Island | November 29, 2020

"Anticosti Island is a very popular place for hunters, because the density of white-tailed deer is exceptional. In the small port village of Port-Menier and its surroundings, hunting is prohibited and the deer have long understood this. Many of them spend their day walking around the village. I took advantage of this sense of trust in humans to get up close and photograph this magnificent buck during a snowstorm."
